Tactical formation

Eleven soldiers practising their tactical drills on the Curragh Plains, Kildare, sometime in 1927. Two rows covering the flanks with the Section leader in the middle. Note the Vickers helmets being worn and the Lee Enfield rifles being carried.The front left soldier is carrying a Lewis machine gun.
