Note their weapons rifles are placed on the ground in front of them in the position that they are to fall back into. Clerical men can be seen beside the soldiers and also talking to Officers in front of the Soldiers. The "Tommy" helmets the soldiers are wearing indicate that this picture was taken after 1939.
